The wee bairns in the sea,

The soond o the waves crashin,

The lasses scurling,

The mither pitting on sincream,

The whisperin o the mas an das,

Wee laddies learnin tae swim,

The beach?

A blimmin zoo filled wi fowk!

Salt water in yer moo

So you ging back and get another een

As you ging hame

Liam F’s scottish dialect poem

Listen to my poem here

Fowk playin’ fitba afore school,

Bringin their bikes ti school,

The bell rings the bairns go inside,

Tae dae their work,

Play time comes,

It passes quick,

They finish a their work,

 lunch time comes,

The bairns eat their denner,

Ging oot ti i playground an play,

They play skippin an ’hide an tig,’

The bell soonds time tae line up,

They ging back inside,

Deen a their work,

Went hame loved the day.

Lewis w’s scottish dialect poem

Lassies buying clithes , Mannies gettin’ bonny presents,

Roaring cars awae,

Fowk shouting “Taxi!,”

Lads whispering “Lets get a bite tae eat,”

Auld folk buying newspapers,

Tae see fits gan on in the world,

anither day in toon.
