Blethertoun Rovers
Matthew Fitt is an author and he came to our school to tell us about the Scots language.
It was fun, because we often speak that language outside school, and we do not speak it in school.
Find out more about him here. Listen to us reading his poem-The Blethertoun Rovers.

This is a great looking blog, Primary 7! The bottles pictured are superb, and I hope you all enjoyed listening to Matthew. This is a blog I will be looking in on often to see what you are all up to - keep it up!

well done to all the people who did that
You all look like you’re really having fun in the photo and I loved your reading of the poem - the accents were brilliant.
This looks like so much fun ….. we were not sure where you were based when we first found your blog - but we’ve narrowed it down to somewhere in Scotland!!
Bonjour Loirston primary school. In the french alphabet how do you say it?
Well done, p7. I know I’m biased but I think this is fantastic. As a big fan of all things Scottish, I’m really proud of your achievement.

Hi,
Great to hear you speaking Scots, I hope to play this to my class in Glasgow where they speak with a rather different voice, both in and out of school.

Hello P7!
Mr Skea here - really enjoyed listening to the poem. It was “braw!”.
I am hoping to get my P6/7 class up and running with blogs and podcasts and the Shetland dialect is a bit different from Aberdonian!
Hope to get some blog entries made early next year if not before so will keep you all posted.
