Blethertoun Rovers

mr-fit.JPG

Matthew Fitt is an author and he came to our school to tell us about the Scots language.

It was fun, because we often speak that language outside school, and we do not speak it in school.

Find out more about him here. Listen to us reading his poem-The Blethertoun Rovers.

This is my bottel, I filled it with silver coins and decorated it as a rocket for the competition.

Jay’s bottle

This is a bottle I decorated for the silver jubilee.I filed it with  lots of silver coins to raise money for our school sculpture.

Samantha and Laura were walking through the playground when they bumped into each other.

“Hi Laura.”said Samantha

“Hi Samantha,”replied Laura,

“What did you do on Saturday?”questioned Samantha,

“I went shopping!”exclaimed Laura,

“What did you get?”asked Samantha,

“I got a new top and black jeans!”answered Laura

“Oh, there’s the bell see you later!”shouted Samantha

our character clay models

For a few weeks our class have been making clay heads with Mr Livingstone (our Art teacher). We sculped them, we painted them and then we varnished them. Now here are some of our models:

Pupil Council News November 2006

Today at the pupil council meeting we were discusing who would be the chair person.

We got told that the dinner ladies were complaining about the noise and rubbish on the floor.

Broccoli by Lewis

broc.jpg

I dread dinner time when I have to eat it.

It crawls on to my plate with its evil face.

It sneers up at me with its bloodshot eyes.

It shouts at me to eat it.

It loves the fact that I’m going to be sick.

It pushes my chips and my chicken on the floor.

I feel like throwing it out of the window

Our Created Community

suc50380.JPG

Mr Danziga took our class to do some fun drama. We worked out how different moods affected the characters characteristics, on a stress level from one (extremly calm) to 10 (really angry).

After that, we got into groups and thought of ideas of strange worlds that had strange communities. We talked about them to our teacher, then we had a vote and chosen a community called Cruiseville. It’s an underwater cruise ship that was made into a dome.

Keep visiting our blog for more information about what’s happening about our community.
